In Midal Cables while production is a priority, safety always comes first. Midal believes that safety and health are the results of the efforts of all persons at work, led by the Chief Executive and all Managers, to pro-actively avoid unsafe conditions and incidents and positively identify all incident causes and implement and maintain suitable corrective and preventive measures.
In 2005 Midal had established a Safety and Health (S&H) management system according to the requirements of OHSAS 18001 standard, and integrated it to the quality and environmental management system of the organization. This S&H management system defines how we do our work, and shapes the way we conduct our operations.
Midal is committed to create and sustain a culture of safety awareness and accountability. Managers and supervisors are responsible for the safe performance of their teams and for ensuring safety awareness and proactive approach in safety and health. In 2020, Midal has upgraded its S&H management system to ISO 45001 standard.
Risk assessment and continuous improvement in the management of safety for our staff, contractors and other people affected by our operations are of paramount importance. Job Safety Practices are regularly updated to meet our changing needs. Everyone in Midal is inducted and trained in safety and health practices by our competent safety personnel. Moreover, Midal conducts various campaigns and creates health awareness among its employees, in addition to the provision of welfare facilities and periodic medical examinations.
